was born in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, UK, in 1988 and began a four-year course at the Brit School, a performing arts college in Croydon, Greater London, at the age of 14. It was here that he discovered his love of contemporary dance and in 2006 he transferred to the London Contemporary Dance School for a three-year programme. In addition to training in various techniques, he was particularly fascinated by the creative possibilities of improvisation. After completing his studies, he was recruited by Matthew Bourne for his Swan Lake and performed for him in Europe, Asia and the USA. He then worked freelance with choreographers such as Luca Sivestrini, Melly Still, Maxine Doyle and Alexandra Waierstall, teaching and leading workshops in the UK, Italy, the USA and Chile.
During the 2012 Cultural Olympiad in London, Jennings became acquainted with the work of Tanztheater Wuppertal. That same year, he went to Wuppertal to audition and was accepted. At the end of the 2017/18 season, Scott Jennings left Tanztheater Wuppertal to devote himself to his own projects. He danced in ‘A Tiny Cut in a Velvet Dress’ and ‘Über die Besiegten einer Neuen Zeit…’ by Nathalie Larquet
